More often than not, the quick snapshot you took with your point-and-shoot camera or smart phone is the best choice. You're in the moment and can capture exactly what you see, and save it forever. You don't need to be a professional photographer, or have an expensive camera. What you do want, is to make the most of the equipment you have. Be sure you have your camera set to the highest quality resolution possible. This will allow you the flexibility to crop in close, or englarge your image, without sacrificing quality. Most cameras and smart phones default to the highest quality possible, but you'll want to find out for sure. This can typically be found in the Menu or Settings option. Changing your settings to the highest resolution will decrease the overall number of pictures you can take with your memory card, but the quality makes it worth it.
